The Park City Area Restaurant Association in Park City, Utah, invites you celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve with its member restaurants this month, which are serving special menus for the holidays. There are some delicious offerings included in these deals.
 
APEX AT MONTAGE DEER VALLEY
Christmas Day: Buffet, $110 for adults, $50 for children ages 5-12
NYE: Black-tie soiree, $350/person
After skiing, join Montage for an elegant, multi-station buffet-style holiday meal for Christmas. Enjoy live music, plus a complimentary holiday gift.
Then, for New Year’s Eve, join Montage for a delightful soiree. Black-tie attire is recommended. Enjoy an hour-long cocktail reception with butler-passed hors d’oeuvres, followed by an expertly crafted multi-course dinner complete with wine pairings. After dinner, dance the night away and ring in the New Year. Note: Non-alcoholic pairings are also available.
DEER VALLEY GROCERY~CAFÉ

For those hosting a holiday party or attending one as a guest, Deer Valley’s famed Grocery~Café is offering a range of delicious take-away selections that are sure to delight. Choose from dishes like celery root bisque soup, roasted red beets, truffle-herb fingerling potatoes, spinach salad and roasted butternut squash, plus spiced cranberry chutney and wild mushroom gravy. The soup, salad, squash, chutney and beets are gluten-free.
FIREWOOD
NYE: 5-course prix fixe, $150/person
This destination for locally sourced seasonal food, cooked by wood-fire, is serving a sumptuous five-course prix fixe dinner for New Year’s. The meal includes a champagne cocktail, plus live music by Robyn Cage. Four seating’s are available: 5:30, 6, 8:30 and 9 p.m. Please note, there is a $50 charge for cancellations within 48 hours of your seating.
GOLDENER HIRSCH
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day: Normal á la carte menu
NYE: 4-course prix fixe, $169/person
Goldener Hirsch will be serving its raved-about á la carte menu for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. On New Year’s Eve, however, it will be serving a special four-course prix fixe. Start with a choice of risotto with peekytoe crab, sun chokes and lemon; foie gras torchon with poached pear, walnut bread and solara elixir; or pecorino gregoriano with cauliflower, black currants and hazelnuts. Then enjoy either porcini mushroom soup or a salad of baby lettuces, before an entrée of Wagyu beef, Maine lobster or classic Wiener schnitzel. For dessert, dig into a delectable apple strudel or black raspberry panna cotta.
GRUB STEAK
Christmas Day: 3-course prix fixe, $48.75 per guest
NYE: 3-course prix fixe, $79.75 per guest
Park City’s beloved steakhouse is serving a pair of sumptuous three-course dinners for the holidays. For Christmas Day, start with your choice of hearts of romaine Caesar salad, wild rice and mushroom soup, or Park City’s best salad bar, followed by an entrée of herb-roasted strip loin of angus beef Béarnaise, plus chocolate crème brulee for dessert.
For New Year’s Eve, choose between the Caesar, wild rice and mushroom soup, or salad bar, followed by surf-and-turf of beef tenderloin wrapped in Applewood smoked bacon, served with roasted shallots and a Maine lobster tail. Dessert is a classic: chocolate lava cake with Haagen Dazs vanilla ice cream and fresh berries.

This premier fine-dining destination at Deer Valley Resort is serving a delectable seven-course prix fixe for New Year’s Eve. The evening starts with a selection of osetra caviar with charred shallot crème fraîche, buckwheat blini and Champagne espuma, followed by courses of Kusshi oysters, cold smoked Hamachi and kale and collards. Then enjoy charred Niman Ranch pork tenderloin, followed by wild Hawaiian venison rack, and a dessert of “crème de la crème” featuring house-made cream cheese cheesecake, caramelized whey and a hazelnut toffee crust.
ROADHOUSE GRILL AND WASATCH BREW PUB

NYE: Open for regular hours
These two locals-favorite destinations will close early at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve and will remain closed Christmas Day so employees can be with their families. However, they
will be open for regular business hours both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, serving their full menus and delicious, hand-crafted, award winning beers.
VERSANTE HEARTH + BAR

NYE: Open for breakfast and dinner; celebrating with late-night party and DJ in the bar area starting at 10:30 p.m.
Join Versante for a special Christmas Day dinner. Start with a choice of soup du jour or holiday salad, followed by classic entrée selections of slow-roasted prime rib, grilled salmon and roast turkey breast. A kid’s dinner, plus range of family-style sides will also be on offer, including cornbread stuffing, roasted baby potatoes, mashed potatoes, creamed Brussels sprouts, roasted cauliflower, and chef’s risotto.
Versante will also be open for breakfast and dinner on both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. On New Year’s Eve, join Versante in ringing in the 2018 with a DJ in the bar area from 10:30 p.m. to 1 a.m., no cover charge, and $5 champagne, drafts and wells.
POWDER AT WALDORF ATORIA
Christmas Eve: 4-course prix fixe; $60/person
Enjoy a delectable Christmas Eve sure to be a delicious start to the holidays. Start with a choice of foraged mushroom strudel or baby spinach salad, followed by white vegetable soup with roasted cauliflower, celery leaves and crispy carrots. Then dig into a main course of Niman Ranch filet or pan seared sea bass, capped by a dessert of chocolate hazelnut mousse.
Christmas Day: $69 buffet for adults, $34 for children
Give your stomach the gift of Powder’s Christmas buffet this holiday season. Enjoy breakfast staples like eggs benedict and French toast, plus charcuterie and cheese, slow-roasted prime rib, spice-crusted ahi tuna, peppermint fudge cake, shortbread pot de crème and a raw bar. In all, more than a dozen selections will be on offer.
NYE: $95 4-course prix fixe, $125 with optional wine pairing; $32 per child
Powder’s special New Year’s Eve dinner starts with a selection of lobster cocktail or Vertical Farms baby lettuces, followed by mushroom consommé. Then enjoy a succulent Niman Ranch lamb loin or turbo fillet, and a dessert of spiced pear tart. Children also get their own four-course meal, starting with an amuse bouche of almond butter and white-grape caviar, then opening courses of mini iceberg salad and tomato bisque with grilled cheese. For a main choice, pick between classic steak-frites or salmon, and, best of all, a vanilla ice cream sundae for dessert.
