Tis the season for summer sippers, and the annual Park City Area Restaurant Association (PCARA) Savor the Cocktail contest.
Today through August 31, locals and visitors are invited to imbibe original cocktails from as many participating PCARA restaurants as possible and cast their votes online for their favorites.
Thirteen bars and restaurants are competing in this year’s contest. One vote may be cast per email address, per cocktail, online on the PCARA website, www.parkcityrestaurants.com. You must be 21 years of age to participate.
“Today marks the start of a summer-long celebration – and friendly competition – of Park City’s most inventive summer cocktails,” PCARA executive director Ginger Wicks said. “Our bartenders and mixologists have been tasked with creating a drink that best embodies the Park City spirit, while patrons are encouraged to sample as many as possible and decide which will be this year’s winner.”
The mixologist with the winning cocktail will earn a $500 cash prize, city-wide recognition, and will be featured in a marketing campaign leading into PCARA’s popular fall “Dine About” event following the contest. The winner will also have the opportunity to create their own original Bartender’s Box, a Top Shelf cocktail experience delivered right to your door. Equipped with fresh ingredients and helpful how-to videos, boxes include everything you need to prepare high-end, quality cocktails at home.
